Every but often—OK, probably quite frequently— I discover enjoyment food while shopping for my normal haul of shopping at ALDI. I’ve found small sweets, simple entrees and effervescent beverages. And I now have corn ribs in the annual fridge section, which I discovered, making it even more enjoyable to find. What’s So Great About Season’s Choice Sweet Corn Ribs First of all, my family loves, loves, loves fresh sweet corn, but sweet corn season only lasts about a month where we live, and this year, sweet corn has n’t had such sweet prices. So I was pleased to learn that a ounce of sweet corn bones, which is the most popular type of corn, can be purchased at ALDI for$ 3.49. ALDI- Just Recipes The picture on the bag depicts how the corn ribs look after grilling. You have to grill them to get them to look that way, which is n’t difficult. They do n’t come out of the bag with nice grill marks. ( There are other ways to cook the corn bones, like air cooking and pasteurization. You could also boil them. ) I did say grilling offers the best flavor, as it adds a bit of smoking to the sugar’s sweetness. Because they’re the ribs—cobs cut so they can lay flat to grill—grilling is an easy decision. The guidelines call for grilling them for 10 to 15 days, but if you melt them out first, they will make more rapidly. Finally, slather the corn bones with butter and salt, or you could find expensive. I recommend adding may, cotija or Parmesan, a small salt juice, and Tajín to convert them into quick Latino street corn. These wheat bones are easy to stretch, so you can twist and turn them while eating. This makes them even more entertaining. Or, at least, that’s what my young son thought. I told him it is corn that can twist like him ( he’s a gymnast ). He was n’t impressed by my comment. Whether or not your children are athletes, they may enjoy benting as well.
